You can publish whatever you want in the Offcanvas Section. It can be any module or particle.

By default, the available module positions are offcanvas-a and offcanvas-b but you can add as many module positions as you want from the Layout Manager.

You can also add the hidden-phone module class suffix to your modules so they do not appear in the Offcanvas Section when the site is loaded on a mobile device.

The Reforestation Corporation, COREF, dates from May 13, 1970 in the government of Eduardo Frei Montalva, continuing from a previous "Colchagua Reforestation Plan", which emerged in the Agricultural and Livestock Service, SAG.

With 3 years of function, and under the government of Salvador Allende Gossens, the decree dated April 19, 1973 is signed, unifying this and other similar departments dedicated to the same item. It was then and through which reforms to the COREF statutes are approved.

It is the main restructuring that integrates and leaves under its management, the administration of the Protected Wilderness Areas and the essential one such as the Prevention and Combat of Forest Fires in Chile.

In that same year, 1973, its name was achieved and modified to Corporación Nacional Forestal, today currently known as "CONAF".

Before, in 1972, its executive director, Forest Engineer José Miguel Llodrá, sent an outpost to the Santa Cruz area and later, at the beginning of 1973, to the commune of Pichilemu, led by the Agricultural Technician Guillermo Pulgar to initiate talks and obtain support from the mayor at the time, Washington Saldias Fuentealba, which materializes with logistical support as will be seen.

Seeing that both men and women from Pichilemina -after each summer season- had to travel to the interior of the province to work as seasonal workers in crops, after which they remained idly by in the winters. Thus, the Conaf installation is buttoned as (Pichilemu Area), which covered territories of nearby sectors and communes, such as: Litueche, Marchigue, Pichilemu, Paredones, Pumanque, Peralillo, Lolol, etc.

It was like this, as in dependencies of the Pichilemu municipality -first- and then in the Municipal Track, in October 1973 the Pichilemu Area was installed and work began, to shoot and install one of the largest projects (Roce, Plantaciones , Nurseries and Forest Fire Control).

From there is born a radical change in the use of "labor", or better said "Reconversion". At the same time, the tasks of: Control and prevention of forest fires, Slash and Burn, Nurseries in nearby properties: San Antonio de Petrel, El Puesto, El Guindo, El Retiro, San Miguel de las Palmas, Los Robles, Cóguil, Nilahue Barahona, Nilahue Cornejo, La Población, Carrizal.

One of the first efforts was the administration and exploitation of a forest located on the edge of the road between Panilonco and Tanumé, and which corresponded to the Cóguil Settlement.

The first CONAF Chief in the Pichilemu Area was Forest Engineer Hugo Ahumada Veliz, supported by the following collaborators: Guillermo Pulgar (Technician), Fernando Latorre (Fire), Jorge Jaque Hernández, Alberto Moya, Luis Paz, Guillermo Celedón (All Forestry Technicians), Hernán Opitz (Forestry Engineer), Manuel Quezada (Technician), Juan López (Technician), Alfredo Pérez (Technician), Rolando Urzúa (Technician), Carlos Vilches (Technician), Mario Casanello Z. (regional nursery expert) , Manuel Hidalgo (Pailimo nurseryman), Enrique Llanos (Technician), Enrique Vargas (radio-operator-auxiliary), Patricio Saldias González (Administrative/Accountant).

Everything depends on the regional office, located in San Fernando and in charge of Forestry Engineer Ricardo Yoma Beck, the Head of the Technical Department Forestry Engineer Manuel Rodríguez, Head of the Fire Management Area, Forestry Engineer Ricardo Hanthelmann, Prosecutor Lawyer José Bustos Coli, DEFA Fernando Correa .

And, at the national level -the military regime- appointed Julio Ponce Lerou, then married to María Verónica Pinochet Hiriart, daughter of General Augusto Pinochet Ugarte.

The Blue Guardians, predecessors of the Blue Guardians Police Corps: It was the municipal police that each municipality hired, according to its budget. And, -because of the color of their uniform- they were called “pacos azules”.

According to reliable information -extracted from the Municipal Acts- the first Commander was Francisco Adriano Caro Rodríguez, as provisional, a position he held between the month of May and September 1894; to then assume as the owner, Rodelindo Castro Rojas.

Manuel Muñoz Piña continued in that position until 1923, followed by Samuel Reynold and then Alfredo Javier Castro, who was the last commander until 1927, the year in which the Chilean Carabineros Corps was created.

One of the oldest blue guardians of Pichilemu, was Honorio Llanca Pavez, who in a special session -precisely dated December 24, 1927- highlighted that he held the position of guardian for 34 years, in which "he has distinguished himself in fulfilling their duties and observing an irreproachable conduct". Distinction that he added to others during the exercise of his police work, being awarded with pecuniary bonuses.

Among those police officers was our maternal grandfather -Ramón González Gómez- who on a couple of occasions we managed to hear stories about the work they carried out, where they only mobilized with horses. And many times it was up to them, together with other comrades, to look for criminals, among whom he named “Negro Candela”, who avoided them for a long time, but who they finally managed to apprehend.
